Dae Jang Geum
watched dae jang geum or nama glamernya Jewel in the Palace in 2003 or 2004.. -can't remember- but because of the love of Dong Yi.. i watched it again.. the drama is about life of jang geum, (dae means 'great')she started as a cook of royal kitchen in palace to a king's doctor.. i love the happy ending of the drama.. warning: do not watch with empty stomach, contain delicious food that will make you hungrier..

Yi San
yi san is son's of prince sado (appeared in deep rooted tree, worrior baek dong su) the longest episode among all.. also work of director of dong yi and dae jang guem.. the most i remember abut the drama is : yi san as a crown price with a killer smile.. (caiirrr, hihi)

Iljimae
iljimae also a must watch sageuk drama.. started with some sort of robin hood story.. steals from the rich and gives to the poor.. the plot evolve for something more worth watching.. fan of han hyo joo here - the heroine-

 

strongest chil woo
well the story certainly give a vibe of zorro, a hero with a black mask, cape , horse and all.. but with 2 other side kick.. not giving any love here.. but because of eric -love him since spy myong wol, still managed to finish it until end.

here comes my addiction to queen seon duk.. this is my first pra-joseon drama i watched.. definitely give a new wind :) to my sageuk viewing..

(maksudnya - iye tuanku).. all character are all based on real life history.. how much the plot diverse from original history i do not know.. but certainly do make me a quite of history reading of silla dynasty.. actually it was quite fun(?) to get to know your character well.. hehe..

(pronouce as sa-gek : e tu bunyi 'e' dalam ter, atau kalau slang orang seoul dia jadi saguk dan 'g' ada qalqallah sikit..

sageuk ni nama genre cerita.. genre cerita yang berteraskan sejarah.. memandangkan sekarang sangat suka tengok cerita zaman tok kadok ni.. cerita baru2 ni yang rasa wajib tengok je tengok.. ni list sageuk yang diwayangkan dengan laptop selama beberapa bulan ni mengikut turutan penayangan.. dan of course mendonlod semua cerita kecuali dae jang geum yang telah memakan hard disk aku sebanyak 81.4gb.. huhu..

dolu2 cerita tema ni memang sebelah mata pun heran.. asal je kalau kat tv ada cerita ni cepat2 tukar.. sebabnya hmm ntah tak tau laa.. startnya tengok dengan deep rooted tree.. sebabnya ada song jung ki.. minat habis la konon.. hehe padahal awal2 je dia ada..

ni sedikit sebanyak apa yang aku ingat bila tengok cerita2 ni..

deep rooted tree (2012)

ada song jung ki *fan girl mode*.. sesiapa yang sedang atau berminat nak belajar hangeul - bahasa korea.. sila la tengok cerita ni.. dia mengisahkan susah payah king sejong - king yang tugunya ada kat tengah2 bandar seoul- gwanhamun depan gyengbokgung palace - mencipta n introduce tulisan hangul.. sebelum tulisan hangul ni dicipta, zaman joseon ni pakai tulisan cina yang tak semua rakyatnya pandai baca.. atau sekarang derang panggil hanja.. memang buta huruf habis la rakyat jelata dia masa tu.. jadi dengan cita2 nak rakyatnya celik huruf - yang mana masa tu memang tak tak terbayang pun semua orang boleh baca macam kita skrang -.... watak favourite: of course rajanya.. king sejong dan hero jang hyuk :  kagum tengok berlakon watak yang miserable dan selekeh2 ni.. sangat real..

baek dong su is one of my favourite.. kenapa? sebab dia bestlaa!! hihi.. dan ada yoo seung ho dan ji ki wook

disebabkan cerita ni la minat ngan dia yang bernama yoo seung ho.. *watch almost all of his drama/ movie ;p * tapi yang best cerita ni adalah plot cerita yang kuat dan martial art diaa.. fuuhhh logik dan hebat.. baek dong su ni memang pahlawan betul masa zaman joseon dulu.. bodyguard raja dia masa tu, anak prince sado- king jeonjo.. dan author buku martial art yang glamer dari zaman dia.. hmm aku sebut prince sado ni, sebab dia ni sangat glamer dalam cerita2 adaptasi zaman lampau ni.. nanti aku cerita kenapa..

jadi cerita ni kisah baek dong su dengan kawannya yeo un.. nampak cerita ni macam konflik  hitam putih.. bds - walau yatim piatu tapi hidup dengan gembira happy dengan penuh kasih sayang semua.. yeo un plak, dari kecik memang tak pernah happy sebab bapak dia percaya yang dia lahir bawah bintang jahat apa tah, dari kecik bapak dia duk dera tak abis2.. nak jadikan cerita depe ni membesar bersama2.. sampai jadi bodyguard prince sado dan akhirnya yeo un keluarla kaler sebenarnya.. apa yang best ceritanya, walaupun nampak heavy tapi hilang stress menengok cerita ni.. character bds yang tah apa2 dan yeo un yang lawa *sila cuci mata*.. banyak part2 yang klakar terutama masa derang membesar.. kalau tetiba bosan je xde apa nak buat duk ulang part yang best cerita ni.. huhu..

panjang pula menulisnya ni.. sebab aku memang sangat attach ngan cerita ni.. rekod cerita nangis sebaldi.. huhu.. kesan mendalam tu.. 2-3 hari teringat2 lagi cerita ni.. sedih sebab jalan cerita memang mengikut lunas2 cerita sageuk dengan lurus.. -di mana sape mati sape hidup memang boleh tau.. dah teringat ni sedih la pulakk.. (over tau!!)

cerita tak banyak yang nak aku cerita.. hmm sebab aku kurang minat sikit tengok.. chuno mengisahkan seorang lelaki yang jadi tukang tangkap nobi (hamba) yang lari dari tuannya dengan hasrat nak cari awek dia masa dia muda2 dulu.. baju2 dalam cerita ni memang agak selekeh sebab nak tunjukkan camane derang ni hidup di kalangan rakyat jelata.. kalau sape2 suka tengok lelaki gagah perkasa pakai baju carik nampak la seksi kut.. huhu.. tak de watak raja ke apa.. mungkin ni sebab utama aku kureng sikit cerita ni.. endingnya puunnn alahai.. menitik jugakla air mata sedas 2, tp aduuiii apa buat ending camni?!! tak bestnya.. heroin dia banyak kena kritik.. dan semua kritikannya semua aku stuju.. terutama bab baju sangat bersih walaupun lari ke hulur ke hilir.. akhir sekali cerita ni juga mengikut lunas2 cerita saguek dengan lurus.. character yang paling complicated memang tak panjang umurnya.. haa, hero dia jang hyuk.. dia jugak yang hero no 2 lepas raja dalam cerita deep rooted tree. slave hunter 3 bintang..

apa nak cakap eh pasal cerita ni.. hmm cerita ni ada ramai kipas-susah-mati.. untuk aku.. aku bagi 3 1/2 bintang.. minatnya kurang di sini..

dong yi

aku kipas susah mati cerita  ni.. cerita wajib tengok ok.. dulu2 sape yang pernah tengok dae jang geum -cerita tukang masak istana, naik pangkat jadi doktor raja - kena tengok cerita ni.. sebab pengarahnya pengarah yang sama.. hero ji jin hee jadi raja dan han hyo joo heroinnya.. raja dalam cerita ni memang sangat cute.. jatuh cinta dengan orang dayang istana namanya dong yi.. dong yi jadi gundik raja dapat anak dengan raja..

raja, dong yi, ngan anak dia memang watak real life.. anak dong yi akan jadi raja dan dia lah bapak prince sado -yang keluar jugak dalam cerita baek dong su- yang kena tuduh treason (apa eh kut melayu?) kena kurung dalam kotak 4 segi yang biasa orang dolu2 letak beras.. prince sado ni aku agak mati kelaparan kut.. kesian kan.. lagi jelas cerita dia keluar kat cerita yi san.. yi san adalah anak prince sado..

kalau ada 5 bintang.. aku bagi 6..hehe.. *berjaya membuatkan adik aku addict skali tengok cerita ni.. hehe..

ok, cerita ni paling lama nak aku habiskan.. aku bagi 4 bintang.. plot cerita best.. pelakon2 nya semua best.. dari yang kecik sampai la yang besar.. cuma aku tak favor sangat dengan han ga in jagi heroin.. moon kat sini dia rujuk pada queen/ puteri raja pasangan raja, sun kat sini dia rujuk pada raja tu lah.. ada unsur2 spriritual cerita ni.. ni first cerita yang aku tengok macamana zaman dolu2 main sihir bunuh2 orang.. huhu.. ha, baju2 dia cantik dalam cerita ni..

ni nak cerita pasal drama korea lagi.. hehe.. tak boleh tahan nak cerita sebab cerita ni sangat saya suka.. 1 daripada yang paling best saya tengok.. siapa yang belum tengok, tengok la drama ni.. sebab plot cerita menarik, refreshing dan pelakon sangat la berjaya membawa watak.. (totally fall in love with Hyun Bin and ha ji won) dan scenary dia.. sangat cantik, especially at jejudo (pulau jeju) dan rumah hero..

Profile TV Show: Secret Garden

Plot

Kim Joo-Won (Hyun-Bin) is from a wealthy family, smart and good looking. He runs the luxurious Roel Department store, which his family owns. Oska (Yoon Sang-Hyun) is a popular singer around Asia, but he doesn't have musical talent. He is also a womanizer. Joo-Won and Oska are also cousins and highly competitive towards each other.

On a request by Oska, Joo-Won goes to pick up actress Park Chae-Rin from a shooting set. Joo-Won mistakes stunt woman Kil Ra-Lim (Ha Ji-Won) for Park Chae-Rin and takes stunt woman Ra-Lim to a hotel. Oska made the request in an attempt to prevent Park Chae-Rin from revealing their relationship to the press. At the hotel, Joo-Won discovers that the woman he picked is not actress Park Chae-Rim but a stunt woman. During this time, Joo-Won starts to experience strong feelings for the feisty stunt woman, even though she isn't his type. Joo-Won tried getting Ra-Lim out of his mind for Ra-Lim does not own a high status life nor is even rich.

Nevertheless, Joo-Won can't stop thinking about Ra-Lim. Later, Joo-Won sneaks into an action school to watch Ra-Lim. Meanwhile, Ra-Lim tries her best to ignore Joo-Won because she knew Joo-Wan belongs to another higher social level compared to her. Nevertheless, Ra-Lim can't help her blooming feelings towards Joo-Won.

Yeun-Sul (Kim Sa-Rang) and Oska are ex-lovers, but they can't seem to forget each other. Because Yeun-Sul had a high-living status, she was arranged to attend a blind date with Joo-Won. Even though Jo-Wan made it clear that he doesn't have interest in her, Yeun-Sul keep pursuing Joo-Won. Yeun-Sul knows Joo-Wan is Oska's cousins and wants to use Joo-Wan to get under Oska's skin. Yeun-Sul then manages to become the director for Oska's next music video.

The video shoot takes place on Jeju Island. Meanwhile, stunt woman Ra-Lim is a fan of Oska's music and wins a contest to go to Jeju Island with Oska himself. Ra-Lim also wanted to take part in Oska's music video. Joo-Won learns that Ra-Lim won the contest to spend time with Oska and decides to follow them to Jeju Island. On Jeju Island, the main participants all gather. While they were mountain biking, Ra-Lim somehow gets separated from Joo-Won and Oska. Joo-Won searched frantically over Ra-Lim's disappearance and went searching for her. Eventually, Joo-Won was able to save Ra-Lim but ended up stranded in a mysterious place called 'Secret Garden'.

Mysteriously, the owner of 'Secret Garden' seems to know Joo-Won and Ra-Lim very well. The owner presented two bottles of alcohol to Joo-Wan and Ra-Lim. They manage to get their way back to the hotel before night and went their separate ways. At night, Joo-Won and Ra-Lim face sleeping difficulties and took this time to clear their minds while having sips of their gifted alcohol individually. And a twist of intrigue took place in the plot when both Ra-Lim and Joo-Won switched souls!

p/s : saja amik sinopsis versi panjang sebabnya dah 2-3 hari abis tengok pun tekenang-kenang lagi akan hero dan heroin dia.. :) the great thing about this drama is, i can really sit down and watch peacefully through out the drama without trowing any bantal or slipper at tv-yang tak bersalah- sebab tension dengan schizophrenic antagonist yang menyakitkan hati.. dan ending dia, hmm how should i explain.. the kind thet ends with leaving you some sort of empty feeling only love can fill (?).. haha.. all great movie/ drama leaves you that kind of feeling.. anyhow the ending reminds me of King of Baking, Kim Tak Gu..~ full closer~..

Noron soron namin.. ~ sungkyunkwan scandal

i, who do not learn about Korean history.. the story brings me such a ‘pening’ful puzzle..for the first 3 episode, I totally didn’t understand what is the different between those three (noron, soron and namin).. so I did an intelligent guess.. here we go..

the hero - lee son joon is a noron.. son of prime minister, rich and hold a character who is so bound to the rules and principles.. so, noron must be people from golongan pemerintah dan kaya raya.. kim yun shik the main character is a namin.. she’s so poor and desperately needs money to help her family, working as a man at the book store.. at that time of course all books were written by hands.. :) so namin must be orang kebanyakan and poor..

after that, came moon jae shin – as soron, with a character rambut sepah2 and always wearing dark robes and rebellious .. rude and not following rules is his specialties.. so, my impression : he must be kind of pemberontak or something.. he is a senior – most probably failed exam and repeating his year in kim yun shik and lee sun joon class.. he is a soron.. whose father, he said covering up his hyung’s death by noron for the sake of power..

last but not least.. my favorite character.. yeorim gu yong ha.. likes wearing flashy robes and kaki pompuan.. playboy, a bit gatal.. but I loike.. hehe.. ~is a senior.. at start he is friendly with the antagonist.. but not long after that yeorim + 3 of them is an item.. and by the way he’s a noron..

the conclusion I made, without reading 1000 year old korean history, I think I can go with my instincts.. ~noron and soron is like two political power in the government.. satu parti pemerintah (the ruling party).. another one is parti pembangkang (the opposition).. the different is, they cannot choose what party they want to be in like in our world now..whether is it noron or soron it depends on their fathers.. turun temurun.. bound by blood.. they are both bangsawan (nobilities).. separated by power and land.. both have times in the past, rules the country..

for current drama, the king’s dream to have a society that live harmony regardless political power, noron, soron and namin live together without differences.. and it create conflict between good and evil in this drama.. and kim yun shik as a namin survive as a man to gain jobs for money and enter sungkyunkwan university is the main plot of the story.. and most of them really damn funny.. :)

The drama is based from the novel The Lives of Sungkyunkwan Confucian Scholars 1 and 2 written by Jung Eun Gwol. Bad Milk has written a comprehensive translation of the novel in his blog here.

there is a new drama that i watched every sunday 11 am to 1 pm.. right after sungkyunkwan scandal.. drama with rain, jeong jin, lee na young and daniel hanney.. hmm.. not exactly new actually.. dah masuk 3 minggu tayang kat kbs world.. :)

i don't want to write what the story is all about (you can google and read ) but why i like watching it.. hehe.. well, since the drama tayang hampir waktu tengahari - peak hours to do my chores - what i love is, the drama allowed me to do my chores without losing anything important.. ;p that is because.. it involve a lot running and fighting..

don't get me wrong.. the drama was never boring.. love every core of it.. i was like sat in front of tv like a statue every sunday morning to watch encores.. :) not many korean drama can make you do that.. it either you stay and watch.. or you'll lost interest and go do things more important that watching it.. well, at least for me, it work that way.. :)
